We’re delighted to announce that Tomasz Kociumbas has been recently promoted to BIM Manager and Tom Callaghan joins us as our new Rail Systems Architect! They’re both members of our Design Services team based out of our Manchester office.
Tomasz will now report directly to Alexander McAdam (Head of Design) and will continue to work in conjunction with the rest of the Emeg design team to develop and expand our wide range of rail depot products into industry-leading systems for the UK and international markets.
Tomasz will use his extensive experience in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) to assist in the coordination of mechanical, electrical and depot systems design, ensuring they are developed into practical and reliable solutions. Tomasz has worked within the Emeg design team for the last three years and previously worked for Balfour Beatty as a CAD Engineer working on the ‘Northwest Electrification, Preston to Manchester’ project. He has also worked for Progressive Services Design as a Mechanical and CAD engineer.
Tom will also report directly to our Head of Design, Alexander McAdam, and will use his extensive programming, control and automation experience to establish efficiencies that will ensure our products are the pinnacle within the rail industry, both domestic and international.
Tom joins us from EDM, where he was responsible for designing, programming and commissioning state-of-the-art training simulators for civil airlines and the military, including simulators for Cathay Pacific, American Airlines, ANA, Jet Blue & Jet 2. These training sims were designed to train cabin crew in door operation, cabin protocols, cockpit entry and disaster simulations, which ranged from fires and/or explosions in the engines, or onboard emergencies, such as fires in the toilets or cabin, rapid decompression and landing gear malfunctions.
