Due to the continued growth and expansion of the Emeg business within the UK and overseas, including new additions to our ever-evolving range of cutting-edge rail products and services, we’re pleased to announce the imminent opening of our new Manufacturing & Distribution Centre in Chesterfield, UK.
We’re putting the finishing touches to our new purpose-built Manufacturing & Distribution Centre, which will be fully operational from Friday 4th June 2021. This facility will enable us to manufacture our industry-leading product range in-house and under one roof, including e-vac™, e-wash™, e-fume™, etc. Please see our Product Catalogue 2021 for a full list of Emeg products and services.
We’re proud to be able to say that all Emeg products will now carry the ‘Manufactured in the UK’ tag and will benefit from greater quality control, a reduced carbon footprint, reduced risk in the supply chain, lower transportation costs, and a more direct contribution to the UK economy.
No longer having to rely on 3rd-party manufacturers and suppliers, plus streamlined communication across the board, means we can increase and optimise our manufacturing output, resulting in vastly improved lead times and smaller minimum order quantities for our international customer base.
In addition to manufacturing and distribution, this brand new facility will also include a state-of-the-art Training Centre where we’ll be able to demonstrate Emeg products, perform factory acceptance testing, and educate the next generation of Emeg apprentices and engineers.
The new facility will also house our Rapid Product Development Centre, which will allow us to rapidly prototype and develop new products in response to ‘the voice of our customers’, bringing innovative, fit-for-purpose products to market quickly and cost-effectively.
We’re looking forward to further improving our operational efficiency and increasing value for our clients by fully adopting ‘lean manufacturing’ principles and processes.
